Location of Karma House

Karma House is located on the right side of Nandini food court in Swotha Square, just on top of Nutopia Café. Note that the entrance of the duplex is at the back of the house, accessible by the courtyard of Cosy Nepal office.

Directions to Swotha Square

1. From the Airport (Sankamul way) - Ask your driver to go to Patan Durbar Square via Sankhamul / UN Park road. Swotha Square is just 100 meters before reaching Patan Durbar Square and 50 meters after passing the famous b&b called Newa Chhen. See precise indications below : ‘‘Location of the house in Swotha square”.

2. From Kathmandu (Labim mall road) - Your driver should take Pulchowk Gabahal road (Labim Mall road) toward Patan Durbar Square. Just before reaching Patan Durbar Square, he needs to turn left at the traffic light (Mahapal chowk). You are then on Kwalakhu road, follow it over 200m until you reach the third temple on your right. Here you see a small chained area turn right here and you arrive on Swotha Square. 3. From Patan Durbar Square - Only by walk - 100 meters away- you might need to pay a NPR 1000 entrance fee to enter the UNESCO protected heritage area (valid during your entire stay if you require it). Cross Durbar square all the way through from the main ticket counter (south) toward north. In front of you appears the “Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry” and the restaurant "Café du Temple". Leave those on your right and keep going straight on the street (touristic shops) over 100 meters; you end up in Swotha Square (you see two beautiful temples: one white pagoda and one two storey wood temple). Once you reach Swotha square, look for the little tea shop called "Swotha kiosk" (very good coffee and tea that you can enjoy in the sun) and "Nandini food court". Between these two places, there is a little path that leads to a courtyard, Yatachhen House / Cosy Nepal office is in front of you, prayer flags hanging on top of the century old Newari door !

Shuttle service

For a smooth arrival, we can organise a drive for you, let us know your exact flight details and our driver will be waiting for you outside the airport entrance, holding a board with your name on it. Fares are as followed : Day fare 20$ - Night fare 25$ (from 7pm to 7am) - up to three people with 3 medium pieces of luggages.
Van / SUV are available at the rate of 30$.

Besides discretionary tips, please don’t give money to anyone at the airport. You will pay us after you have well settled in. Please note that the payment for shuttle has to be done in cash ($, € or NPR).
